I have read all of Dan Browns books. This work leaves one with very thought provoking feelings of where we might be heading. I'm unsure if I should be happy or sad.
In all honesty I prefer the stand alone thrillers.
I love this author but although this book started off so brilliantly, it very soon became obvious who the criminal mastermind was going to be. And Professor, did we really need all those endless recollections? Mildly disappointing
Dan brown has written some exciting and “can’t put down” thrillers. This isn’t one of them!
Just when it gets everything set up nicely the dramatic end never comes!
Is it worth reading? Yes but don’t expect the normal high standard usually given by Dan Brown.
Certainly far from his best...

I want to say I love Dan Browns novels, many have been my quickest page turners, but this one feels from start to finish somewhere between a religious building guide book and something written just because another instalment was required. Time to retire Robert I feel!
Another fantastic read

Dan brown never fails to grab you from the first word to the last. His use of religion and science is profound and a pleasure to read. Once again Langdon is an endearing character full of knowledge and surprises.
Amazing as always!
As any Dan Brown book it is amazing it makes you think about humanity, religion and everything else.
A good travel guide
Usual formula, interesting travel guide, very well researched but not much of a tale.

As always Dan Brown is a good read and Origin is no exception. Couldn’t put it down - figuratively rather than literally since I was reading it on my iPad - until the last word. Does this mean that the black in me is absorbing the purple?
Same old same old!
As with all of his books Origin started out at a breathless pace, however for the first time for me it stalled at about a quarter of the way in and then failed to get going again, too similar story lines and not really the earth shattering discovery that I was hoping would maybe change the world for the better, sooner rather than later.
I’ll still buy his work but this is easily his poorest effort to date.
