Because of that slippery ice covered lake,
Jake saw the Pong and the Pong saw Jake.

    I liked this a lot. The story flows well (the words and rhymes pull you along) and my 3 year old loved it. I think the voice-over is also a great idea - it works really well and the children respond well.

    Tried and tested on my 2 nephews who both loved it. They probably even learned something. Maybe I even learned something! Hopefully will be an inspiration and a springboard for them to find out more about the Solar System, but even if not it was well worth the price. Highly recommended, can't wait for "Son of Pong..."!

    This is a really fun but also well written book. My kids really enjoyed it and perhaps more to the point, I really enjoyed reading it to them. Don't miss out, get this book!
  • Thoroughly enjoyable multi-layered book

    I really enjoyed this, both as a book to share with my children, reading aloud, and as something to watch them work through as an interactive eBook with learning points. I think the concept is great and 'Pong' (who is such a wonderfully fun character anyway) makes good use of the medium.

    This is a great little story presented and packaged with great imagination. You can either flick through the story a page at a time reading it in the traditional way. You can have the supplied recording read page per page or sit back and listen and watch the whole thing. The illustrations are excellent and very often brought a smile to this grown up face. The supplied VoiceOver is well done and is timed in the movie version very well. A great combination with the entertaining illustrations and will bring a laugh or two through the story. There is an additional educational element which I thought was very well done. Allowing the reader to learn about planets and space travel. This learning is interactive and very engaging. All in all I recommend this as great entertainment that offers many opportunities to come back to the same story and enjoy it in different and educational ways. Which also makes this incredible value for money.
